SELF-ASSESSMENT - FIRST TERM
I'm sure I
have improved my expression in English, I mean, doing some funny projects and
watching some videos, listening to music, etc. is a better way to teach English,
and now I can understand the lyrics of a song better than before and also some
dialogues from series.
I studied
more than the last year and that's good for me, I'm not usually get confused
about anything and I don't need help with anything.
I really
need to improve my speaking in class and to participate more.
My
weaknesses is the translation, for me, it is very hard to study I think that my
problem is that sometimes is hard to find the concrete expression that you want
or there are some words that I know how to use because of the context but I
don´t know the exact meaning in Spanish and vice versa.
The thing
that I liked the most was the music video Project I had a great time filming
it, and I loved the result of all of our work. I also like the days that Clarissa
come to our class. It is very interesting to know someone from that far and to
learn a little bit more about other cultures.
In this
term we learnt some interesting information about the growing up in Australia
and New Zealand, exchange programs and movie genres. Also in geography I learnt
things about the natural environment and the population in the world.
I am happy with
this school year and I think that I am going to learn a lot.

GEOGRAPHY: Valladolid trip
On
Wednesday 2nd of November, we went to Valladolid. We arrived there at 10:00 in
the morning and we went to see the Main Square and the teachers gave us some
free time. Then we went at 11:00 to the Miguel Delibes Theatre to see "Vox
Balaenae" that it’s a concert of classic contemporary music. When the
concert finished we had lunch and we took a bus to Peñafiel, where we visited the
Museum of Wine that it was a little bit boring, because anybody didn't
explained nothing to us and we visited the Castle too, that it had shape of a
ship and it was very interesting. Then at 18:30 we took the bus to come back to Villamayor. I will like to do
more trips like this because you learn a lot and you also have fun.

GEOGRAPHY: DESCRIBING A LANDSCAPE
This landscape is situated in Pai (Thailand). I choose
this landscape because in summer I watched videos about some people that went
and go all over Thailand, Pai was the place that I like it more than the other
ones because there is more nature and not too much people.
Thailand is situated into the hot zone and then
into the equatorial landscape because is in the Southeast of Asia. The temperatures
are high all year and the rainfall is heavy and regular. The savannas
are the most common vegetation but there are also scattered shrubs and
insolated trees. The rivers have a high and regular flow. The common vegetation is the jungle. The trees grow very tall in search of sunlight. There are also bushes, grasses and flowers. The type of vegetation varies according to the amount of light available. The fauna is very varied. There are animals that can climb trees, birds, reptiles and insects.
